Jamie began his career with Sunderland whilst being capped 19 times for England at youth levels between U16-U19. He signed his first professional contract in 2007 after recovering from a broken leg.

He was loaned to League 2 Darlington in 2009 making his debut against Leeds Utd in the League Cup. After a successful spell Jamie signed a 2 year deal with the Quakers later becoming club captain. In the wake of Darlingtons financial plight Jamie signed for Gateshead FC playing alongside coaches James Marwood and JJ O’Donnell, helping the club to Wembley in the conference play-off final.

After 4 and a half years with the Tynesider’s Jamie is now considering his playing options with various clubs in the North East. Whilst doing so he has turned his attention to coaching, after being offered a role at his former club Sunderland as well as working with us here at Pro Player Gateshead. He starts his UEFA B coaching qualification this summer.
