Vill was a professional footballer at Sheffield Wednesday where he played with international footballers while working with Premier League coaches.

He then moved to the Finnish Premier League to join HJK Helsinki. From there he joined Derry City in Northern Ireland before returning to England to join Retford where he scored an incredible 73 goals in one season. Vill spent the rest of his playing career with several non-league clubs. Highlights included winning the Conference South and FA Trophy double with Grays Athletic. He was also promoted to the Evo-Stick Premier League with Stocksbridge where he formed a lethal partnership with Jamie Vardy.

During his playing career he focussed on his coaching badges and is a UEFA B qualified coach and has also completed his FA Youth Award. He is currently a UEFA A licence candidate which he is due to complete in March 2016.

Vill has been working with Rotherham United Under 15’s for the past two seasons and is a first team coach at Harrogate Town in the Conference North.
